Our Executive Team at Bethanie
Chris has over 20 years’ experience in management and senior management across a number of industry sectors. Positions have included State Commercial Manager, Regional and General Manager, Chief Operating Officer and in more recent years – Chief Executive Officer with Bethanie, one of Western Australia’s leading not-for-profit aged care and retirement living providers.
A dedicated health and community industry leader, Chris has participated on a number of industry related boards over the past decade including LASA – Leading Aged Services Association, as National Director and President of the Western Australian Chapter. Chris is a Board Director of Interlife Group and has recently been appointed as Chair of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Aged Care Forum.
Chris holds degrees in health and has also achieved a Masters of Business Administration.
Felicity has over 25 years’ experience working in the the health sector in Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom. Her background includes clinical, management and leadership roles in the private, not-for-profit and government sectors.
She is responsible for the operations of Bethanie Retirement Villages, Serviced Apartments, Social Housing, Community In-Home services (including Home Care Packages and other government funded programmes) and centre based therapy services (Social Centres and Day Therapy Centres). She brings to the role a wealth of leadership experience, having spent the last seven years in various roles within Bethanie, including Therapy Services Manager, General Manager Central Services and General Manager Community. Felicity’s passion and energy for aged care is fed by a desire to see the industry change and grow, to flexibly respond to the needs of people as they age in an active and meaningful way, in their communities.
Felicity’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy) and a Graduate Certificate in Health Professional Education, School of Medicine and Dentistry, from the University of Western Australia.
Chief Operating Officer Care Services – David Harrison (MBA, B.Sc (Physio)(Hons), GAICD)
David has over a decade of management and senior leadership experience in the health and aged care industry. This has included clinical and management roles in government, private and not for profit organisations.
David holds a number of degrees including Physiotherapy and a Masters of Business Administration.
Chief People, Culture and Brand – Jo Christie (BA. Grad Dip (HR))
Jo has both a Bachelor of Arts in Education and Psychology, and a Graduate Diploma on Business (HR) which have assisted in her over 20 years experience in Human Resources. She has held senior HR positions across hospitality and manufacturing in some of Australia’s largest corporate sector organisations which have involved her working not only in Perth but also Melbourne and London.
In 2007 Jo decided to leave the corporate sector for Aged Care and joined Bethanie. Having special interests in the areas of Leadership, Culture and Change Management Jo has led major national change projects in the corporate sector and is a strong believer in open and transparent communication across all levels of organisations. Jo has responsibility for the strategic initiatives relating to Bethanie’s Workforce including Organisational Development, Occupational Health and Safety and Industrial Relations.
Chief Financial Officer – Samantha Drury (CPA, MBA, GAICD)
Samantha Drury is our Chief Financial Officer, who previously worked for Laing O’Rourke as their Head of Finance – Western Region having left VDM Group Limited, where she served as their Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary. Ms. Drury is an experienced Financial and Business Manager across a broad range of industry sectors.
She joined London Underground Ltd in 2005 and served as its Head of Finance – Operations & Support. She has worked with Coopers & Lybrand, Jones Lang LaSalle, and the Worley ABB Joint Venture. She gained international expertise, involved in businesses around Australia and the United Kingdom and has a diverse and valuable range of skills, especially in dealing with complex contracts and leading teams through change and continuous improvement.
Chief Property and Customer – Rohan Taylor (B. Bus, Grad Dip (Mgt), Grad Dip (Psych) GAICD)
Rohan has over 17 years senior management and leadership experience in the property, financial services and investment industries holding positions that has included Director, Managing Director and General Manager.
Rohan has a particular interest in building effective commercial relationships, empowering individuals and teams that resonate with customers and understands that delivering on promises, internally and externally, is critical to success.
Having left the private sector to join Bethanie, Rohan has responsibility for developing new retirement village and aged care facilities, maintenance of the asset portfolios, sales and customer solutions.
