Graduate Nurse Leaders Programme
Seventeen nurses recently graduated from our inaugural Bethanie Nurse Leaders Programme.
This unique, one-year leadership development programme used an industry first learning design framework that combined face-to-face seminars with workplace projects, critical reflection and online learning, delivered via the award-winning Bethanie Learning Hub.
Senior Bethanie nurses were part of the programme and had the benefit of learning from industry leaders including Associate Professor Margaret Potter and Andrew Stafford, Director at Dementia Training Australia and Consultant Pharmacy Services.
Dannielle Phelan, Bethanie Learning and Development Manager commented, “It was an exciting, challenging year, and all graduates showed their exceptional abilities as they demonstrated leadership skills and designed innovative new ways of working that will help Bethanie to provide an even better experience for customers.
“This is a valuable programme which will positively impact all Bethanie nursing staff. The programme itself was a well prepared, well thought out course to allow senior nurses to be organised and knowledgeable leaders.”
Bethanie CEO Chris How adds, “The Nurse Leaders programme is an example of successful innovation in educational design and was developed by a multidisciplinary team. We are proud to develop such internal programs which will ultimately reward our customers with better and more professional service and levels of care.”
The Bethanie Nurse Leaders Programme will be delivered in 2019 to a new cohort of Residential and Community Nurses.
