When you or a loved one need more to support your independence at home, we can provide a wide range of personalised home care specifically designed to deliver the care, products and services you choose.
If you need to pay towards the cost of your Home Care package in Perth, there are two types of costs determined by the Department of Human Services:
A Basic Daily Fee
The maximum basic fee is 17.5% of the single basic aged pension. If you take up a Home Care Package you may be required to contribute to the cost of your care depending on your assigned care package level.
Income-tested Care Fee
Depending on your income, you may be required to contribute more to the cost of care depending on your assigned care package level. The Income-tested Care Fee is calculated by the Department of Human Services based on information provided in the Aged Care Fees Income Assessment Form. The rate is revised by the government quarterly.
Some care is funded (or subsidised) by the Commonwealth Government (including Home Care Packages, Commonwealth Home Support Programme and Veterans Home Care Programme). Some home care services in WA are offered privately on a fee-for-fee service basis. Bethanie delivers all levels of home care packages (Level 1-4).
We have outlined the process of accessing a home care package below. Whilst it may seem complicated, our team will ensure you receive expert advice and the best level of support, appropriate funding or referrals you need.
If you have approval or have been allocated a Home Care package (Level 1-4), you can access these services through Bethanie. Please call us on 131 151 or email email@example.com. Our friendly staff are available to help you with your enquiry 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Funded by the Australian Government, the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) is a home help programme to assist you or your loved one to remain living independently and safely at home.
CHSP provides funding for In-Home services (previously known as Home and Community Care (HACC)) and Respite Services for carers. Please click on each of these services for more information.
Did you know CHSP also funds group programmes including therapy services at our Living Well Centres?
The Veterans Home Care [VHC] programme provides support via the Department of Veterans Affairs.
To access these services, you must be assessed as needing home care assistance by a Veterans Home Care [VHC] Assessment Agency. Some restrictions may apply*.
VHC services include:
• Domestic Assistance
• Personal Care
• Safety-related Home and Garden Maintenance
• Respite Care
* Information ex DVA website http://www.dva.gov.au/
We also offer a suite of home support services throughout Perth and regional WA, and care assistance outside of the funded care packages. If you are waiting for or are not eligible for a Home Care package, please call us on 131 151 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Our friendly staff are available to help you with your enquiry 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
