Retirement Living Frequently Asked Questions

At Bethanie we have retirement villages from Yanchep to Bunbury. Our villages provide accommodation, lifestyle amenities and services to people over the age of 55 who can live independently. Our lifestyle retirement villages will allow you to be as active, social or quiet as you like. Plus, you’ll have peace of mind knowing your new community of neighbours and friends are likeminded and you are in a supported community.

Retirement Living and Aged Care both provide accommodation services to ageing people, but their services differ depending on their residents' care needs and stage of life.

A retirement village offers accommodation, lifestyle amenities and services to over 55’s looking for independent living options when downsizing or retiring. Residents of retirement living communities benefit from engaging environments that suit their changing needs.

Aged Care homes provide a safe and secure place for people who require 24-hour support. A team of nurses, care workers, therapists and other health professionals provide high-quality care. You may be eligible for Aged Care funding to access these services. To determine what level of funding you are eligible for, you will need to complete an assessment through the Government’s Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT).
