An Overview of Bethanie’s Services

At Bethanie we know that aged care can feel complex and overwhelming, and we believe older Australians and their families shouldn’t have to navigate it alone. That’s why our friendly, knowledgeable team is here to support you every step of the way. Our Aged Care Navigation Specialists (ACNS) are ready to listen, guide and answer your questions, helping you make informed choices with confidence. To make things simpler, we’ve split our care streams into three depending on the level of support an older Australian requires: Retirement Living, Home Care, and Residential Care.

Retirement Living

Retirement living is designed for people 55 and over, independent, that want to enjoy the benefits of living in a social community with like-minded people. Our retirement villages offer the freedom to live life your way, with many on site amenities and the opportunity to lock-and-leave available across all our retirement village sites.

This is the option to choose if you want to preserve your independence, whilst downsizing and preparing for a smooth transition into aged care.

Home Care

Home Care is a flexible option for those who want to remain independent in their own homes while receiving assistance with daily tasks. Our Home Care services can also be accessed by those in retirement living, enabling residents who need extra support to receive the help they require, whilst preserving their independence. Bethanie’s Home Care services provide support tailored to each person’s preferences and needs, based on an assessment delivered through My Aged Care, and can be adjusted as those needs change.

This is the option to choose if you are still happy at home and would like some extra help from time to time.

Aged Care Homes

Aged Care Homes (Residential Aged Care) provide 24/7 support for people who require a higher level of assistance or specialised care. At Bethanie our aged care homes are designed to feel just that, like home. We focus on creating an atmosphere that’s as warm and welcoming as it is safe and supportive. Our homes feature comfortable spaces, thoughtfully designed, personalised rooms, and dedicated support staff who genuinely care that our residents are safe, secure and feel like respected members of our community.

This is the option to choose if you require a higher level of care, with 24-hour care being available where and when required.

A Continuum of Care

At Bethanie we care for Older Australians. We understand that change can be difficult, so we’ve structured our services to flow seamlessly into one another, minimising disruptions to your way of life. If you begin your aged care journey with Bethanie’s Home Care services in your home, you’re able to choose to continue receiving those same services in one of Bethanie’s retirement villages. When you’ve decided that living independently is no longer comfortable, you can transition smoothly into one of our Residential Care facilities.

Because these three streams of care are all managed by the same provider there’s far less paperwork to worry about. You’ll see the same familiar faces, and the people supporting you remain consistent.

How Bethanie Helps You Choose the Right Service

Our Aged Care Navigation Specialists (ACNS) are experts at understanding the aged care system. With their help we can decide whether staying at home, moving into a retirement village, or entering residential care is the most appropriate option for your current situation. They’ve helped numerous customers navigate the system and can provide meaningful insight into working with MyAgedCare, obtaining an ACAT, interpreting homecare codes, securing an independent living unit and much more.

The team of Aged Care Navigation Specialists (ACNS) are ready to take a call or respond to an email to address any query you may have about any of our above aged care services.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How do I know which service level I need? Think about how much daily support is required. If your fully independent, but wanting to downsize then perhaps Retirement Living is something you’d be interested in. If daily tasks are becoming overwhelming perhaps Home Care would be best suited. If you’re at a stage where you’re in need of more permanent support, then Residential Aged Care may be the most appropriate service we can offer.
  2. Can I change service levels later? Yes. Many people begin with Home Care, move into Retirement Living for lifestyle benefits, and transition to an Aged Care Home if clinical needs increase.
  3. What funding options are available? Government funding may apply for Home Care and Aged Care Homes. Bethanie provides guidance to help navigate eligibility, applications and assessments.
