Learn about Retirement Village costs and fees
At Bethanie, our Retirement Village homes are offered through Lease for Life
arrangement. The lease gives you secure occupation of your home and access to Village facilities for the duration of your lease. This provides you with peace of mind and
a supportive environment for your retirement years.
Understanding the Costs and Fees:
Deferred Management Fee (DMF):
The DMF is a percentage of your entry payment, payable when you leave the Village. It contributes to the ongoing development and maintenance of the Village, helping to maintain a high standard of living for all residents.
Recurrent Charges:
These fortnightly fees cover the day-to-day operational costs of the Village. This includes grounds and building maintenance, energy costs, building insurance, rates, taxes, and staff wages.
Exit Payment:
When you leave the Village, an exit payment may apply. This amount is usually deducted from your exit entitlement as outlined in your resident contract.
Our friendly team is here to walk you through the details and help you understand the costs involved in securing a home in one of our Villages.
Bethanie Housing provides safe, affordable Community Housing (also known as social housing) for people on low incomes or those at risk of homelessness.
With 11 Village locations across Perth Metro and the South West, you'll find an option that suits your lifestyle, preferences, and plans for the future.
