Bethanie's Everyday Heroes

As one of WA’s largest not-for-profit aged care and retirement living providers, we have a responsibility to give back where we can. Given the nature of our business is caring for people, our customers are always keen to contribute to the well-being of the community.

Here’s what some of our amazing people have been up to.

Gwelup’s gift of kind words and flowers

A wreath of flowers and a folder containing expressions of sympathy, condolence and prayers from residents and staff at Bethanie Gwelup Aged Care Home were presented at the Thornlie Mosque service, to remember the victims and support the families of those devastated by the Christchurch terrorist attack.

World’s Greatest Shave for Clara

Beachside Village resident, Clara Lewis, with the support of her family, friends and hairdresser Lyn, took the plunge and shaved her hair for the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave.

Elanora Shares the Dignity

Residents of Bethanie Elanora Retirement Village welcomed Trish Robinson from Share the Dignity to receive a collection of 120 donated handbags full of toiletry supplies, 30 wallets and an additional box of toiletries to support homeless women or victims of domestic abuse in the South West region. Residents have since donated two boxes of sanitary items as part of their April drive to support Share the Dignity.

Dalyellup supports the Royal Flying Doctors

In the lead up to Easter, Bethanie Dalyellup Social Housing residents collected Easter eggs to raffle and raise money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia. Their efforts were on show at the local shopping centre with enough donations to make up eight Easter baskets and one Big Ted.
