This includes not only catering to the clinical and physical needs, but respecting the emotional, social and spiritual support required by the individual and their network. Our team have the resources to ensure all requests and personal last wishes are respected. Bethanie also has a fantastic team of experienced chaplains who are on hand to provide emotional, social and spiritual support if required. The individual and the family have full access to this service at all stages of the palliative journey.
Q. How can my loved one access palliative care services?
Everyone who resides at a Bethanie Aged Care Home has access to our palliative care services at all stages of their end of life journey. We tailor the offering based on individual needs and preferences. We know that this time can be tough for families, and ensure we include them at every step along the way. While this process can be a sad and difficult time, Bethanie has mechanisms to ensure that it is also a joyful time as you begin to celebrate your loved one’s life and the memories you have shared.

Bethanie has an experienced, multi-disciplinary care team comprising of qualified support workers, clinical staff including Enrolled Nurses and Registered Nurses, a wider Allied Health Team including Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists and trusted partners that can provide palliative medical support at the end of life. By partnering with expert specialists in this field, we are able to tailor palliative care nursing to individual needs, circumstances and requests to provide the best possible care at the end of life.
