Rent is calculated according to the type of housing offered and the applicable community housing policy requirements.
In some cases, rent is based on a discounted market rent for a similar property in the local area. In other cases, rent is assessed using household income and any eligible Commonwealth Rent Assistance, to help ensure housing remains affordable. If you are offered a property, Bethanie’s Housing Management Team will explain how the rent for that property has been assessed and answer any questions you may have.
